The Township of Asphodel-Norwood will be accepting resumes for the position of:
Part-Time Community Centre Operator (1)
The Operator is responsible for maintenance and general upkeep of the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre and adjacent properties, routine maintenance and safe operation of all equipment, ice resurfacing, inventory, logging of information, general public needs and the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the Community Centre. The Community Centre Operator will report directly to the Manger of Community Centre Operations. A valid class G driver's licence is required. This position will involve evening and weekend work. The hourly rate is $15.74.
Part-Time Community Centre Attendant (2)
The Attendant is responsible for maintenance and general upkeep of the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre and adjacent properties, routine maintenance and safe operation of all equipment, general public needs and the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the Community Centre. The Attendant will report directly to the Manager of Community Centre Operations. This position will involve evening and weekend work. The hourly rate is the current minimum wage.
Part-Time Canteen Attendant (1)
The Canteen Attendant is responsible for the operation of the canteen area at the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre including inventory within the canteen and storage area, sales and service, handling cash, maintenance and general upkeep of the canteen. This position will involve evening and weekend work. The Canteen Attendant will report directly to the Manager of Community Centre Operations. The hourly rate id the current mini um wage.

Special Projects Intern
The Township of Asphodel-Norwood requires an intern to work with municipal staff on special projects, economic development and administrative assignments.
This job opportunity provides full time work experience from September 2010 through December 2011. The successful candidate must have graduated with a degree or diploma or Ontario Ministry Certificate from a post-secondary institution and be under the age of 30. Preference will be given to graduates in the fields of economics/business development, telecommunications, engineering, marketing, sciences, technology and trade.
