***The Asphodel-Norwood Landfill located at 187 County Road 40, is currently accepting clean fill and broken pieces of concrete.***
Please 705-639-5343 ext 203 should you have fill/concrete available during normal closed hours of operation.
Although curbside collection is encouraged, the Asphodel-Norwood landfill site is open to Asphodel-Norwood residents (photo identification is required), for materials that are not picked up at the curb as well as bagged garbage ($4.00 per bag). The Public Works Department currently operates the Landfill Site.
Curbside garbage collection is contracted by BFI Canada Inc.

Garbage collection for Statutory Holidays
Garbage will not be collected on New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Garbage will be collected the folowing week. On all other holidays, garbage will be collected as usual.
Recycling
Curbside Recycling: Blue boxes are picked up weekly. Two blue boxes are recommended as recyclables should be sorted by containers and fibres. All plastic, glass, aluminum, steel, poly coat paper containers should be separate from the paper, box board, cardboard and plastic film bags (fibres).
Please do not recycle frozen food boxes, ceramic, pyrex or Styrofoam.
Please have your blue boxes at the curb by 7:30 a.m.
Blue boxes can be purchased at the Municipal Office for $5.00 each.

What is accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Depot?
Acids, aerosols, antifreeze, automotive lubricants and filters, batteries (all types), cleaners, detergents and polishes, herbicides and pesticides, fertilizers, fuels, paints, stains and thinners, pharmaceuticals, pool chemicals, sealants and adhesives, toxic pet care products, propane canisters (100 lb / 50 kg maximum).
All facilities also accept cell phones and ink jet cartridges for recycling (no Epson brand cartridges).
